Why We Brought Support Back In-House

You’ve needed to go for 45 minutes. You’re staring down the hall towards the bathroom wistfully, almost as if you’re never going to see it again. 

Do you go now? 

You look down at your phone. 46 minutes and counting. 

Maybe your coworker could cover you, but he only left for lunch twenty minutes ago and you know he’s notorious for coming back from lunch late.

47 minutes.

You could go now. After all, what are the chances?

You feel a bead of sweat roll down your forehead as you take deep breaths, trying to think about anything except for how much you need to use the washroom. 

“Please stay on the line. Your business is important to us. One of our representatives will be with you soon.” 

Your business?! The only business you have right now is with the porcelain gods. 

An unusually violent rumble comes from your abdomen and you know the time has come to make a choice. 

You fold, hang up the phone, and practically sprint to the bathroom. Sweet relief!

But your victory is short lived as you redial the customer support line, and start back at the end of the queue. 

It has to be easier than this. Doesn’t it?
